About this blog.
Stepping on Dandelions started as my own personal diary, that soon began being more of a public platform for me to share my experiences and use my voice. This space is a place where you can find inspiration for those hard times, and a sense of comfort knowing you are not alone. I strive to be positive, but sometimes it’s not so easy.
I have a few invisible illnesses- IST (inappropriate tachycardia syndrome), SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Big words, I know. Basically just means my heart rate goes really high, and my blood pressure drops really low, creating episodes, which is one of the main things I write about. Living with a chronic illness is not fun, or easy, and has definitely taken a toll on my life, and my relationship with Christ. But, I am honest through the journey, and I share my deepest pain with you, so you hopefully know you are not alone.
My main joy in life comes from my little boy, A. He’s my life, and being his mama is such a blessing, but my journey to motherhood was not an easy one with my broken heart, which sometimes I might refer to as Herald (yes, I named my heart- he’s kinda a big deal).
I talk about a few other topics on this little blog- anxiety, depression, motherhood, marriage, and my faith through it all.
I hope you join me on this journey through life. The easiest way to stay up-to-date on blog posts is to subscribe.
