Stepping on Dandelions is a faith-based lifestyle blog that began on June 16, 2014. It started as my own personal diary, that soon began being more of a public platform for me to share my experiences once I realized that others were somewhat encouraged by the words I wrote. That’s when this blog went from my little space, to a community. My goal for this blog is to be a place you can find inspiration for those hard times, and a sense of peace knowing that it’s okay to not be okay.
In 2013, my life changed forever. I was diagnosed with IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia). In 2015, I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia- POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia) and NCS (neurocardiogenic syncope), and in 2016 with SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) and atrial tachycardia. SO many things- #ChronicIllnessLife. Being a part of the Spoonie community has been the best part of the healing process, because someone actually understands me from the inside, and not just looking in. Among my broken heart (literally), I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression as a result of my health.
Thankfully, I am a dog-mom to an amazing little pup, Seeley, who helps me keep going, and I’m married to the most amazing man who supports me every single day. I have a little bundle of joy that will arrive in 2018, and I’m so excited to be a mom.
On this blog you’ll find a little bit of everything, from health, to my faith, to relationships and struggles. I try my best to be as open as possible because I know that this platform is not for me, but for someone out there that needs a little extra light. I try my best to be positive with whatever life gives me, but sometimes you just don’t want to make lemonade from lemons. So here I am, living life, and trying to prove to everyone that even in the midst of struggles, and during the most amazing times of your life, you always have a choice in how you present yourself. Stepping on Dandelions is my way.
